Planned Parenthood Federation of America President Cecile Richards on New Mexico Clinic Arson

Our thoughts are with Dr. Boyd and the entire women’s health community in New Mexico. The devastating fire at Dr. Boyd’s office should serve as a powerful reminder of the violent and intimidating tactics that extremists use to obstruct women’s access to health care. 

Planned Parenthood is committed to protecting our clients, staff and volunteers and to ensuring that those who threaten them are brought to justice. Planned Parenthood of New Mexico is monitoring the situation closely and has put in place additional security precautions for patients and staff.

Planned Parenthood denounces this senseless attack. We call on everyone who cares about women’s health to join us in condemning these acts of violence.
