Peoria, IL — Throughout the month of September, Planned Parenthood Heart of Illinois will provide free contraceptive care to any woman from Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana, displaced by Hurricane Katrina at its Health Centers located on Jefferson St. and Western Ave. in Peoria and Fourth Street in Pekin.

"This is a time for all of America to pull together to help our fellow citizens whose lives have been forever changed by Hurricane Katrina," stated Joyce Harant, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Heart of Illinois "We recognize that residents of the areas devastated by Katrina may have families living in our region or may be relocated here because of the generosity of our residents in the Heart of Illinois who open their homes."

Women and their families in the Heart of Illinois should call 1-800-230-PLAN or visit www.pphoi.org for information about the location of our three health centers.
