Vacaville Health Center Doubles in Size
Planned Parenthood’s Vacaville Health Center just doubled its size. Housed in a medical office building on Nut Tree Road close to the enormously popular Vacaville Premium Outlets, the increased demand for services required expansion. Planned Parenthood Shasta Pacific (formerly PPSD) originally opened a Vacaville Health Center in 2005 as one of three centers in Solano County. Vacaville is in an area of rapid population growth in the county.
“Now we will be able to keep up with requests for appointments” said Regional Area Director Karen Williams. “We have seen the numbers of clients increase by more than 66 % in the last three years.”
In addition to health centers in Fairfield and Vallejo, Planned Parenthood also provides limited health care services at Vallejo High School, Solano Community College in Suisun and at the Health & Social Services offices in Vacaville.
PPSP also provides case management for pregnant and parenting teens and educational services in the county as well as case management and housing assistance for people living with AIDS.
