Planned Parenthood long has played an indispensable role in the nation's health-care system. Its 818 centers, 35 in Ohio, serve as the primary source of health care for six in 10 of the women who visit one of the facilities. The centers provide a range of primary and reproductive health services, from breast and cervical screenings to vaccinations and pregnancy testing. In doing all of this, Planned Parenthood promotes healthier lives and cost-effectiveness in health care.
