On the 38th anniversary of the landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Roe v. Wade, PPMNS reaffirms its commitment to ensuring that all women and families have access to the health care they need.

In order for a woman to participate fully in our society, she must be able to make her own reproductive health decisions. These are decisions each woman needs to make for herself, not decisions that those in the legislature need to make for her.

Minnesota voters were clear in this past election. They want our leaders to focus on creating jobs and strengthening the economy. PPMNS calls on all citizens to work with the legislative leadership and Governor Dayton to focus on jobs and making Minnesota’s economy stronger.

A cornerstone of our commitment to women’s health is our national Birth Control Matters effort.  We are seeking to make prescription birth control available without co-pays, enabling women to choose the method that works best for them.

Through the Birth Control Matters effort, Planned Parenthood is committed to reducing the number of unintended pregnancies and the need for abortion by increasing access to affordable contraception and family planning services.
