SITKA—Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest has re-located its health center to 247 Katlian Street, Suite D, next to Ludvig’s Bistro and across the street from BIHA.
Please join us on Wednesday, June 6th between 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm to see the new facility, hear about the latest education highlights in the community, and meet PPGNW CEO Chris Charbonneau.
“I’m excited to meet our supporters in the community and share our plans for the Sitka health center,” said Chris Charbonneau, CEO of Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest. “We want to make sure everyone knows that Planned Parenthood is here for them and what essential health services we are providing in this beautiful and remote part of the state.”
Elise Pepple, PPGNW’s education staff member will share highlights from her work with the Teen Outreach Program, a federally funded youth development program in which Sitka is the first Alaskan town to participate.
Earlier in the year, PPGNW relocated to the smaller facility and adjusted hours of operation due to budgetary constraints. “This event will provide an opportunity to talk about the specific challenges the Sitka community faces with regard to women’s health and wellness and how PPGNW can help,” said Clover Simon, PPGNW Alaska team lead.
If you would like to join us on June 6th, please R.S.V.P. to Erin Pressman at 1-866-674-2538.
The health center is open Wednesdays between 1pm and 4 pm with telemedicine services offered every other week to clients. To make an appointment, please call 907-747-3883.
