(Wilmington, DE)  Planned Parenthood of Delaware (PPDE) is calling all chocolate lovers to bring a party hat and sweet tooth to the Sixth Annual Chocolate Festival and Silent Auction on October 22, 2010 at Hagley Soda House, RTE 100 & Buck Road, Wilmington, DE. There are several special touches this year including: a new location, hot hors d’oeuvres from Moro  Restaurant  and  a variety of chocolate desserts offered by 15 of our favorite restaurants and caterers.

“With great community support and a strong event committee, we were able to take the Chocolate Festival to the next level, “ said Elizabeth Dougherty, Vice President of Development, PPDE.  “There are new chocolate delicacies for choco-holics, hot hors d’oeuvres for those without a sweet tooth, and plenty of tasty tidbits for everyone in between.”

Guests can also check out the array of silent auction items such as  a vacation to  Keystone, Colorado or Cape Cod, a season pass to the Brandywine Polo Club, a hockey stick signed by Daniel Carcillo  and  a wine tasting for 20 of your best friends.

“Where else can you eat  an unlimited amount of chocolate and support a good cause?” said Nanci Hoffman, President & CEO, PPDE.  “Not only is the event a great time, but the proceeds help us fund family planning,  prenatal care, community education programs and more; services and programs that are vital to Delaware’s women.”

For further information on the event or to buy tickets, people can visit or call 302-655-7296, ext. 27.  Ticket prices are $60 for those over age 35.  For those 35 & under, tickets are $40.
