(Wilmington, DE)  Planned Parenthood of Delaware (PPDE) is calling all chocolate lovers to bring a party hat and sweet tooth to the Fifth Annual Chocolate Festival and Silent Auction on October 9, 2009 at Rockwood Museum Center in Wilmington, Delaware. The Chocolate Festival raises funds for women’s health care and features chocolate delicacies from fountains to martinis.

“The Chocolate Festival is the perfect event—people can indulge their sweet tooth and help the community at the same time,“ said Steve Director, Board Chairman of PPDE.  “Proceeds from the event are used to fund cancer screenings, family planning, prenatal care and more. It’s a fun time and a good cause.”

While indulging in the culinary delights, guests can check out the array of silent auction items such as spa services, theater tickets, and beautiful handcrafted jewelry. As a special addition, this year includes an art auction featuring the artwork of local and national artists.

For further information on the event or to buy tickets, people can visit or call 302-655-7296, ext. 27. Ticket prices are $50/individual over age 35 and $30/individual under age 35.

The mission of PPDE is to ensure the right of all individuals to access the appropriate information and the services necessary to make and act on personal decisions related to their own reproduction, sexuality and health. Planned Parenthood provides family planning, prenatal care, nutrition counseling, abortion, cancer screening and prevention, health education, and more. The agency serves all three counties and has operated in Delaware for over 75 years.
