(Wilmington, DE) Planned Parenthood of Delaware is calling all chocolate lovers to bring a party hat and sweet tooth to the Eighth Annual Chocolate Festival and Silent Auction on September 28, 2012 at Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts, 200 South Madison Street, Wilmington, DE. There are several special touches this year including: a new location, hors d’oeuvres from Bixby Caterers and a variety of chocolate desserts offered by 13 of our favorite restaurants and caterers.
“With great community support and a strong event committee, we were able to take the Chocolate Festival to the next level,“ said Amy Hughes, Vice President of Development for Planned Parenthood. There are new chocolate delicacies for choco-holics, hors d’oeuvres for those without a sweet tooth, and plenty of tasty tidbits for everyone in between.” Guests can also check out the array of silent auction items such as a vacation home at the beach or in Maine, Eagles tickets, or a 50” television.
“Where else can you taste some of the best chocolate this community has to offer and support a good cause?” said Ruth Lytle-Barnaby, President & CEO of Planned Parenthood. “Not only is the event a great time, but the proceeds help us fund family planning, community education, and advocacy programs that are vital to the well-being of women in Delaware.”
