PPMNS Proudly Welcomes Dan Rather as Keynote Speaker for Annual Celebrate! Planned Parenthood

PPMNS will host its 8th annual Celebrate! Planned Parenthood event on October 13 from 7 to 9 PM at the Minneapolis Hilton.

“After a year of making our own headlines, it’s fitting to have the legendary Dan Rather as our keynote speaker,” said PPMNS President and CEO Sarah Stoesz. “We are honored to host Mr. Rather and join with our supporters for an evening to celebrate our work as the leading provider and protector of reproductive health in our region,” said Stoesz.

The focus of Mr. Rather’s remarks will be “Changing the Dynamics of Media: Keeping Citizens Informed.”

Dan Rather, the voice, heart and soul of American journalism, is one of the most recognized and renowned reporters of our time. During his long career as a CBS news correspondent and anchor, he covered the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the Watergate hearings, the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, the Iran-Contra affair, and the war in Iraq. He is the recipient of numerous Emmy awards, a Peabody Award and citations from critical, scholarly, professional and charitable organizations.

Mr. Rather continues his award-winning work as host of Dan Rather Reports, a weekly news program for HDNet.
