MEMPHIS, TN — Planned Parenthood Greater Memphis Region (PPGMR) is pleased to welcome a new Director of Development, Aimee Lewis.

Ms. Lewis most recently served as Director of University Development at Christian Brothers University and also previously worked in grant writing and development for the Church Health Center.

“Aimee’s extensive experience and contacts in non-profit fundraising will serve PPGMR well in our efforts to provide affordable reproductive health care to Mid-South women regardless of their ability to pay,” said CEO Barry Chase.

Ms. Lewis will take charge of PPGMR’s fund-raising efforts, including its building fund campaign, launched this spring to pay for construction of PPGMR’s new health center at 2430 Poplar Avenue. Renovations are now well underway at the 3-story building first constructed in 1953.

At the new location, PPGMR will offer all the same services it currently offers, including family planning, contraception, well-woman exams, Pap tests, STD testing and treatment, pregnancy testing and pregnancy terminations. But the expanded space also gives PPGMR room to hold classes and meetings, allowing for greater collaboration with other non-profit service providers and community groups.
