EASTERN WASHINGTONPlanned Parenthood health centers across the country have been subject to intensive protests as part of the “40 Days for Life” campaign. Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho’s (PPGWNI) health centers in Ellensburg, Kennewick, Spokane, and Yakima have been targeted as part of this effort by anti-choice activists to intimidate clients and staff regarding the issue of abortion.

The Pledge-a-Protestor campaign encourages supporters of PPGWNI to sponsor protestors for the length of the event. Funds raised will be used to support the mission of PPGWNI, which is to provide exceptional reproductive and complementary health care, honest education, and fearless advocacy for all. “We know the best way to prevent unintended pregnancies and lower the abortion rate is to ensure all people have access to information and basic family planning services,” said Anna Franks, President & CEO of PPGWNI. “This campaign is a great way to energize our supporters while we continue to provide the highest-quality reproductive health care for which we’re known.”

Planned Parenthood’s health centers offer a wide variety of services including vasectomies, sports physicals, cancer screening, anemia testing, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, and pregnancy testing and options counseling. 96% of PPGWNI’s services are family-planning-related.

To date, the Pledge-a-Protestor campaign has raised more than $4,700 dollars. If you would like to make a donation, please call 509-853-2524.
