EASTERN WASHINGTONPlanned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho (PPGWNI) is pleased to announce it is the recipient of a $30,000 grant from the Eastern Washington Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.

The grant awarded to PPGWNI will fund the breast exam portion of annual well woman exams for 500 patients. Additionally, PPGWNI will utilize these funds for follow-up visits for breast re-checks to ascertain whether patients need further diagnostic testing. If needed, financial support will be available to a limited number of women for referral imaging diagnostics.

This funding will be available to patients who utilize PPGWNI’s health centers in Kennewick, Pasco, Pullman, Spokane, Spokane Valley, and Walla Walla. The funding is for patients who are uninsured or underinsured and have incomes too high to qualify for state funding.
