Austin, Texas — Planned Parenthood will premiere a new, stylish condom, PROPER ATTIRETM, designed with women in mind at downtown clubs on Thursday, February 28th and at South Congress salons and boutiques on Thursday, March 6th.  With chic, fashion-forward packaging, PROPER ATTIRETM has been designed to appeal to women’s sense of style in order to encourage them to take charge of their own sexual health.

PROPER ATTIRETM will make its debut at clubs and salons with Planned Parenthood distributing sample packs.  PROPER ATTIRETM proceeds will benefit Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA).

Featuring chic packaging in different varieties, PROPER ATTIRETM sets a new benchmark by offering both safety and style. PROPER ATTIRETM condoms will be sold at boutique shops and exclusive hotels. They will also be available at Planned Parenthood health centers and will soon be sold online.

The release of  PROPER ATTIRETM is part of Planned Parenthood’s on-going efforts to encourage safer sex to prevent sexually transmitted infections and reduce unintended pregnancies. Condoms used consistently and correctly provide the best protection against sexually transmitted infections and unintended pregnancy for sexually active individuals.  Research shows that every year there are more than three million unintended pregnancies, and approximately 19 million women and men will contract a sexually transmitted infection.

WHAT: PROPER ATTIRETM, a chic new condom line, will make its debut with Planned Parenthood supporters providing samples to introduce Austinites to the new brand.
WHERE: Wet Salon at 1109 S Congress Ave; and Pink Salon  at 1204 S Congress Ave.
WHEN: Thursday, March 6th, from 6 to 9pm.
