Newburgh, NY–Planned Parenthood Mid-Hudson Valley, which has had a health center on Dubois Street in Newburgh since 1999, as well as a center in New Windsor since 1987, is excited to announce that on Monday, January 10, 2011, both its Newburgh and New Windsor offices consolidated and moved into a much larger location on Lake Street in the Lakeside Plaza in Newburgh. The new center, located at 136 Lake Street, has over 8,000 square feet and features a beautiful, large waiting room, seven exam rooms and ample private parking to better serve its patients.

Over the past few years, after careful assessment and listening to the needs of its patients, Planned Parenthood Mid-Hudson Valley made the decision to consolidate the two much smaller centers into one larger, more convenient, full-time center located in the densely populated area of Newburgh. Patients who may have been seen at Dubois Street location or on Blooming Grove Turnpike in New Windsor will now be seen at 136 Lake Street.
In addition to providing health care services, Planned Parenthood has an on-site Education Office at the Newburgh Center where schools, community based organizations and parents can arrange for medically-accurate, age-appropriate sexuality education programs.
Planned Parenthood Mid-Hudson Valley offers a full range of family planning services and contraceptive choices including: breast and cervical cancer screenings; the full range of FDA approved contraceptive methods; gynecological exams, Pap smears, and pelvic exams; sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment; HIV testing and counseling; emergency contraception; testicular cancer screenings; pregnancy testing and counseling on prenatal care and delivery, adoption, and abortion; colposcopy, LEEP, and cryosurgery; and HPV vaccines. .
