The merger earlier this summer of Planned Parenthood of North Central Florida and Planned Parenthood of Northeast Florida is already having an impact for women in Tallahassee, who have seen a significant decrease in contraceptive costs.
Thanks to the merger, the cost for a one-month supply of NuvaRing at Planned Parenthood has gone from $60 to $30, according to Natalie Muniz, director of education for Planned Parenthood of North Florida, the newly created organization. The costs for other contraceptives have also decreased by up to 50 percent, Muniz said.
