Planned Parenthood hosts a Test Fest, offers free screenings in Flint (MLive)

FLINT, MI -- Planned Parenthood Mid and South Michigan hosts an event to offer free testing for HIV and sexually transmitted diseases.

The Test Fest is scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. June 9 at Planned Parenthood, 3371 Beecher Road in Flint.

The event, which is open to the public, will offer free HIV/STD testing, as well as free hot dogs, ice cream, contests and giveaways for those who get tested.

Test event is designed to encourage regular STD testing, according to a press release.

Genesee County has the second highest rate of gonorrhea and the fourth highest rate of chlamydia in the state, with some of the highest rates among Flint residents under age 30, according to the release.
