MEMPHIS, TN — On Tuesday, January 13, 2009, Planned Parenthood Greater Memphis Region and the Memphis and Shelby County Health Department are hosting an educational workshop about infectious diseases in Memphis and Shelby County. The workshop is free and open to all healthcare workers, social workers and others in the infectious disease field.

WHAT: Infectious Diseases of Memphis and Shelby County Workshop

TIME:  1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

WHO:  Health professionals, including nurses, physicians, social workers, medical and nursing students

The workshop will include presentations about sexually transmitted diseases, HIV/AIDS sensitivity training, tuberculosis testing, treatment, contact investigations, and partner notification about STDs. Click here to view the workshop agenda.
