PULLMAN, WA – Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho (PPGWNI) is pleased to announce they will be giving away 150 coupons for free NextChoice Emergency Contraception (EC) at the Washington State University performances of The Vagina Monologues. Emergency contraception (EC) is a safe and effective way to prevent pregnancy up to five days after unprotected intercourse. Essentially a high-dose birth control pill, EC works to prevent ovulation, and has no effect on existing pregnancies. EC is more effective the sooner it is taken, therefore, Planned Parenthood recommends that clients keep their medicine cabinets stocked with emergency contraception pills before they are needed.

“PPGWNI is dedicated to providing quality health care, honest education, and fearless advocacy for all people,” said Anna Franks, President and CEO of PPGWNI. “We are offering free EC as part of our commitment to helping people take charge of their reproductive futures.” Coupons can be redeemed with valid identification at the Planned Parenthood Health Center in Pullman located at 1205 SE Professional Mall Blvd. Suite 105. Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho sees over 37,000 clients per year at its ten health centers.

The Vagina Monologues will be held February 17-19 in the CUB Auditorium in Pullman.
