Beginning in January 2012, Planned Parenthood’s Uptown Minneapolis health center will expand its weekday hours and add weekend hours.

“We’ve been a part of the vibrant Uptown community for close to two decades. Now we’ll be open seven days a week, with expanded hours, as a direct response to needs and wishes of our patients,” said Sarah Stoesz, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota (PPMNS). “In these challenging economic times, it is crucial that women have access to reproductive and basic preventive health care.”

“We are thrilled to be able to give our patients better access to the care they need,” said Stoesz. “It also allows us to serve even more men, women and teens in the area.”

100 percent of PPMNS’ services in Minneapolis are preventive health care services including life-saving cancer screenings, birth control, prevention and treatment of STIs, breast health services, pap tests, sexual health education and counseling.

As of January 2nd, 2012 the Minneapolis Uptown health center, located at 1200 Lagoon Avenue, will be open Monday thru Friday from 9am – 6pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 9am – 1pm. Call 1.800.230.PLAN or visit www.ppmns.org/onlinehealthcenter to schedule an appointment.

Planned Parenthood’s Online Health Center is always open. We provide Virtual Office Visits with licensed Nurse Practitioners for birth control supplies through our Online Health Center.
