EASTERN WASHINGTON AND NORTH IDAHO – Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho (PPGWNI) is pleased to announce the election of Barrie Ryan as Board Chair.  Ryan, of Spokane, previously held the position of Board Treasurer. Archie Sutton of Yakima was elected to Board Treasurer to fill the position vacated by Ryan.

Ryan, who has held Board positions at a number of community organizations including Spokane AIDS Network and the Inland Northwest Business Alliance, hails from Missoula, MT. He received his degree in Business Administration from the University of Montana in 1985. In 1988, Ryan began his career at U.S. Bank. He transferred to Spokane in 1993 where he currently holds the position of AVP, Relationship Manager, U.S. Bank Private Banking. He shares his home with his partner, Steve Cordahl.

“I am eager to work with board members, leadership, and our talented staff as we continue to advance our mission,” said Ryan. The mission of PPGWNI is to provide exceptional reproductive and complementary health care services, honest education, and fearless advocacy for all.

Planned Parenthood’s health centers offer a wide variety of services including sports physicals, vasectomies, cancer screening, anemia testing, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, and pregnancy testing and options counseling. 96% of PPGWNI’s services are family planning related.
