You may not know who Lizz Winstead is off the top of your head, but you've heard of her work. She is the co-creator of Comedy Central's cultural phenom The Daily Show.

Winstead is touring from Minnesota to New York and promoting a show that, while is at heart a comedy show, also discusses personal stories from her life about Planned Parenthood's role in her life. Fortunately for us, she is making a tour stop in Pontiac, Michigan.

In a statement from Winstead via, Winstead discusses why she decided to embark on such a tour: "I have this crazy notion that in this life I wanna be part of the solution. And when it comes to reproductive rights, throughout my life, I have had to turn to Planned Parenthood for many of my healthcare needs. They were the only affordable solution. And they were always there for me. My life could have been very different without them. I am grateful. Very grateful."

The Pontiac show will be held at the Historical Eagle Theatre on Saturday, July 9, 2011. The show begins at 8:00 p.m. and doors are at 7:00 p.m.

You can purchase tickets here or visit and search Lizz Winstead.

Tickets start at $30 and are general admission, but if you're interested in meeting her over appetizers and cocktails as well as reserved seats for the show, you can purchase tickets for the VIP reception, which starts at 6:30 p.m. for $150.

The proceeds for this event will be donated to Planned Parenthood.
