Free testing offered in April to curb rising STD rate among local teens

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Young people seem to text and talk about everything except this: Sexually transmitted diseases are rising dramatically in the under-30 age group, health officials say.
But ignorance and silence have led to growing infection rates locally and nationally, prompting MTV to partner with health organizations to offer free STD testing as part of a youth-targeted campaign called "GYT." It's short for "Get Yourself Tested."
