Community Donation Drives

January 11 through February 1, 2013

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy and our commitment to serving the community in 2013 and beyond, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin is hosting community donation drives.

Please join us in our efforts to keep Wisconsin families safe, healthy and strong! Planned Parenthood locations around the state are collecting items of particular need for each local community.

Below is the list of participating Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin locations, community/donation partners, and items being collected. Please join our efforts by dropping off your items at a participating location on or before February 1:

Appleton (both locations)
Donation partner: Emergency Shelter of the Fox Valley
Collecting: personal hygiene items: deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, Q-tips, tampons, non-scented lotions, body wash

Delavan
Donation partner: Association for the Prevention of Family Violence
Collecting: cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items, tissues, toilet paper

Fond du Lac
Donation partner: Solutions Center Shelter and Support Services
Collecting: non-perishable food items

Johnson Creek
Donation partner: Johnson Creek Food Pantry
Collecting: non-perishable food items

Madison (111 King St and 2222 S Park St locations)
Donation partner: YWCA Women’s Shelter
Collecting: personal hygiene items for women and infants: tampons, pads, toothpaste, tooth brushes, diapers, wet wipes

Manitowoc
Donation partner: Manitowoc County Domestic Violence Center
Collecting: loose change for “Community Change” jars

Milwaukee (1710 S 7th St and 2207 W. Wisconsin Ave locations)
Donation partner: Humane Society Safe Haven Program
Collecting: cat food (dry, canned, unopened bags), cat toys, dog toys (Kongs), dog treats, peanut butter, unscented non-clumping cat litter, hand sanitizer

Milwaukee (302 N Jackson St and 5380 W Fond du Lac Ave locations)
Donation partner: Hunger Task Force
Collecting: non-perishable food items

Milwaukee (801 East Capitol Drive location)
Donation partner: Community Advocates Women's Shelter
Collecting: personal hygiene items: toothpaste, tooth brushes, soap, shampoo, hair brushes, combs, lip balm

Oshkosh
Donation partner: St. Vincent De Paul Community Center
Collecting: non-perishable food items for the food pantry

Portage
Donation partner: Portage Food Pantry

Sheboygan
Donation partner: Safe Harbor

Waukesha

The MLK Day of Service empowers individuals, strengthens communities, bridges barriers, creates solutions to social problems, and moves us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a beloved community.
